In March 1915, Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew set out from South Georgia on the Endurance, bound for the South Pole. The expedition was a daring one, and Shackleton knew that it would be dangerous. But he and his crew were prepared for anything, and they were confident that they would be successful. But disaster struck when the Endurance was trapped in ice and crushed.

The crew was forced to abandon ship on foot, and they had to make their way across the ice to a nearby island. The journey was treacherous, and the men were constantly in danger of falling into crevasses or being swept away by icebergs. But in addition to the physical dangers, the men also had to deal with psychological strain that come with being isolated and stranded.
